RTRT.me

Tech Used: AWS Git JavaScript Linux Memcached MongoDB Nginx Node.js PHP

Role: Full Stack

Client: RTRT.me

While working with RTRT.me, my focus has been enhancing user experience through new feature implementations and improvements. These include utilizing AWS SNS to send race tracking notifications, incorporating Runtastic and Garmin OAuth2 APIs to securely import GPS data, and integrating Stripe Connect for streamlined payment processing.

Additionally, to enhance collaboration and issue resolution among the team, I built an internal forum with issue tracking and feature request voting. I also implemented Imperavi's Redactor and Article Editors throughout to improve content creation and management.

One of my primary duties involves overseeing and maintaining AWS servers during large-scale events, ensuring optimal performance and stability. With some of these events receiving over 6 million requests, I utilize custom-built tools that simplify the management process, allowing for seamless execution.

Keratin Complex

Tech Used: Craft CMS Docker Compose Git LEMP PostCSS Shopify Plus Vue.js Webpack

Role: Full Stack

Employer: Elevate Studios

We developed Keratin Complex's e-commerce site using Craft CMS with Shopify Plus integration. We created a custom-designed product that merged the two functionalities resulting in a robust e-commerce and marketing solution. The CMS allowed for the easy creation of marketing content, while the Shopify platform managed the complexities of multiple product lines.

In addition to assisting with the overall build, I was responsible for using Vue.js to develop the mini-cart integrated with Shopify Plus. I also set up the dev environment for the team within docker, authored custom deployment scripts, and Craft modules to communicate with Shopify Plus.

Seed Phytonutrients

Tech Used: Ansible Craft CMS Docker Compose Git LEMP Sass Vue.js Webpack

Role: Full Stack

Employer: Elevate Studios

As part of my role, I built headless Craft CMS endpoints and a Vue.js frontend that relied on them. To improve our team's consistency and effectiveness, I set up a Docker-based local development environment and optimized our code by configuring Webpack. I also used Ansible to smoothly deploy servers at each stage of development.

Moreover, I employed Buddy CI for code deployment and set up backup routines to establish an incremental automated backup system. This ensured the client's data was safe and secure, as we could store backups on remote servers and easily recover data in the case of data loss or system failure.

HanesInk

Tech Used: Bower Git Gulp HTML JavaScript Metalsmith Sass

Role: Front End

Employer: Elevate Studios

For HanesInk, we built a frontend system that integrated with the client's backend eCommerce system. We used Metalsmith to compile the frontend pages before sending them to the backend team for integration. I developed a custom JS system that used DOM node attributes to execute JS modules bound directly to each node. That allowed content creators to insert dynamic pieces wherever needed. I also wrote Gulp scripts to build assets to optimize performance and streamline the development and deployment process.

Overall, this project was a testament to the importance of teamwork and collaboration in web development. The key to delivering a website that met the client's needs was our ability to work together and leverage tools and technologies.
